Our WorkAs the leading inter-governmental organization promoting since 1951 humane and orderly migration, IOM plays a key role to support the achievement of the 2030 Agenda through different areas of intervention that connect both humanitarian assistance and sustainable development. Across Ethiopia IOM has been contributing to the efforts of the Government to effectively manage migration through a wide variety of projects and programmes.

The Chief of Mission of IOM Ethiopia presented her credentials
The Chief of Mission of IOM Ethiopia and Representative to the African Union, IGAD and UNECA, Ms. Maureen Achieng presented her credentials to the Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma today October 19th at the AUC Headquarters in Addis Ababa. During this brief session, Ms. Achieng discussed important migration issues with the AU Chairperson, including intra-regional mobility, engagement of the African Diaspora in the continent’s development and the upcoming Valetta Summit on Migration.
